Vadym Gaiev

An experienced leader in local self-government and a public figure with seven years of service as the Head of the Novopskov Community in Luhansk region (2015–2022). Under his leadership, the community implemented a range of important projects in infrastructure development, social support, and citizen engagement in governance — including the establishment of an Administrative Services Center and the introduction of innovative anti-corruption practices. He was a board member of the Association of Ukrainian Cities and led its Luhansk Regional Branch, promoting the strengthening of local self-governance in the region.

He currently serves as Deputy Coordinator at the non-governmental organization "International Solidarity" Branch in Ukraine, where he oversees projects focused on the restoration of water supply and sanitation infrastructure, as well as the provision of humanitarian aid to support affected communities. He actively collaborates with international organizations such as ULEAD and DECIDE on initiatives aimed at improving living conditions for internally displaced persons (IDPs) and advancing community development.

He holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the National Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine and has completed international training programs, including the Council of Europe’s Leadership Academy for heads of consolidated territorial communities. He has been honored with certificates of recognition from the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Verkhovna Rada for his contributions to the development of local self-government.
